tours for teams . players . coaches . fanatics

The teams trained in Grünwald at the sportschule, the former DFB training
site. The teams played friendlies at 3 Munich area clubs in Erding,
Unterschleissheim, and Planegg, where the BSC teams swept the first 2 clubs
and were in return swept by the last. In Erding the group was treated to a
photo & autograph opportunity with US MNT and 1860 star Gregg Berhalter
(photo above).

Lasting Memories
Group leader, Bavarian SC Director of Operations, Tom Zaiss, had positive
things to say about the tour experience.
"The Bavarian Soccer Club would like to thank Forca Soccer for giving our
players the opportunity of a lifetime. Our players have memories that will
last forever. Your attention to detail put our whole group of 80 people at
ease and made it that much more enjoyable. We will definitely spread the
word in the Midwest about Forca Soccer Tours and we will see you again next
year."

Fussball
The Bavarian travel party, including full rosters at the bu12, bu16 and bu17
levels, 3 trainers, 1 administrator, as well as various family and friends,
spent the bulk of their trip in Munich, the Bavarian capital city.
Here the group rediscovered their club roots with visits to both FC Bayern
Munich, and TSV 1860 Munich, the areas top 2 clubs after which the Bavarian
Soccer Club was modeled at its inception in 1929. The group toured Allianz
Arena, caught training sessions at both big clubs, and attended the 1860-
Karlsruhe match where they were treated to a 2-0 home win with both goals
coming thru Americans (Josh Wolff assist, Gregg Berhalter goal).

Culture
The Bavarian SC group stayed near Munich's old city center, within walking
distance of the rathaus glockenspiel, the viktualienmarkt, the Englischer
garten, and many other famous cultural sites. The group took a formal guided
tour of Munich which included visits to Nymphenburg palace, and the
Olympiapark (photo right), as well as guided tours in Salzburg, Austria, and
Neuschwanstein (King Ludwig's famous fairytale castle).
Other cultural highlights included sampling authentic bavarian cuisine, and
post-match social events at the clubhouses of the host teams in Erding and
Planegg.
