Academy Tour Player Openings
We have limited player openings on the following 2008 Academy Tours (tours for individual sign-up). to submit an Academy Tour Application
 
Glastonbury, CT
Sportschule Bitburg
The Oakwood SC travel party, with a full roster of players, coaches, and supporters from two teams, will begin its tour in Rheinland-Pfalz with a daily soccer regimen and various sightseeing and cultural activities.

The teams will train daily at Sportschule Bitburg. They will also play matches against the youth sides of Frauen Bundesliga club SC Bad Neuenahr, the sides of local club TuS Issel, and the youth national teams of Luxemburg.

The group will tour historic Trier, Germany's oldest city. They will attend two pro matches, women's Bundesliga match, Bad Neuenahr-Turbine Potsdam, and men's Bundesliga match, Koblenz- Freiburg or Eintracht Frankfurt-Bayern München (depending on match schedules).

Frankfurt am Main
The Oakwood group will then move on to Frankfurt. The transfer will take them up the picturesque Mosel valley, one of Germany's best wine producing areas. Once in Frankfurt, with the group's hotel just meters from old city center, they will have easy access to the most important sights in Frankfurt (Hauptwache, Römerberg, Main riverfront, etc.).

The teams will train in Grünberg at the training complex of the Hessischer Fussball Verband (HFV), followed by matches against the HFV Auswalhen (the select teams of the state of Hesse). The will also play the youth sides of European superclub 1.FFC Frankfurt, home to world stars like Birgit Prinz, Steffi Jones, Kersten Garefrekes, Renate Lingor, etc.

The group will conclude it tour with a day out in historic Heidelberg, know best as the home of one of Europe's oldest educational institutes, Heidelberg University.

Oakwood Soccer Club and Força! Soccer Tours have formed a partnership that will bring the Oakwood girls u14 & u15 teams to Germany for an April 2008 training/friendly tour. Oakwood SC, a youth club pioneer out of region 1, is a charter member of the US Soccer Development Academy.
